Getting there

Location:
Utah State Fairpark
155 N 1000 W

Entrances:
North Temple across from the TRAX Station
Lot C off 2nd North and 1000 West

Public Transportation:
We encourage you to take advantage of Salt Lake City’s public transit via TRAX or bus, or to consider walking, biking, Uber, Lyft or carpooling. Paid onsite parking is available.

Bike Valet:
Salt Lake City Bicycle Collective provides a FREE Bike Valet at the DIY Festival. Tipping is encouraged. The Bike Valet closes promptly at 9:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday. All bikes must be picked up by then.

Parking:
Paid parking will be available in Lot C at 2nd North and 1000 West, in a lot located on North Temple just north of the Fairpark, and along local streets.


Additional Information

PARKING
Parking is available for free on nearby neighborhood streets. Paid parking is available for $6 at lots adjacent to the Utah State Fairpark.

Main Parking Lot
Enter on 1000 West, near the North entrance. This is the designated drop off location for rideshare services.

Lot B
Access this lot on the south side of North Temple, across the street from the South festival entrance.

Friday Night Parking
Due to another event happening at the Utah State Fairpark, the Main Lot near the North entrance will be closed on Friday night. However, Fairpark’s Lot B will be open. Access this lot on the south side of North Temple, across the street from the south festival entrance.


Upgrading to VIP

General ticket holders can upgrade their tickets to VIP tickets at any time for $28; you can upgrade at the entry gate or at the VIP area.

Kids' Area

The DIY Festival offers lots of fun activities for kids! The dedicated Kids’ Area, presented by Mark Miller Subaru, features make-and-take art projects for kids of all ages, a bounce house, face painting, and more. Parents are required to accompany their children while they visit the Kids’ Area.

Kid Row

On Saturday, August 10 from 2-6pm visit Kid Row, our youth artisan exhibition at the DIY Festival! Kid Row artisans are makers ages 14 and younger who will be selling their handmade work.

Payment Options:

While many vendors take credit cards, some are cash only. Multiple ATMs are available on-site.

Food and Drink:

Bringing in food and drink from outside the Festival is not allowed except factory sealed bottles of water. The DIY Festival offers multiple food and beverage options for purchase on-site, including beer and wine. Visit our web site to see a full listing of the food vendors that will be at the Festival.

Free water is available at drinking fountains on the Festival grounds. You may want to bring an empty water bottle to refill while at the Festival. Bottled water can be purchased at the Craft Lake City info booth for $1.

Smoking:

The DIY Festival is a smoke-free environment. Smoking is allowed only outside the Festival. You can re-enter using your ticket and hand stamp.

Restrooms:

Restrooms are located in buildings on-site at the DIY Festival. Attendees will receive a Festival program that includes a map with bathrooms marked. 

Lost & Found:

Located at the Craft Lake City Info and Merchandise Booth.

ADA Accessibility:

Craft Lake City carefully considers the needs of DIY Festival attendees and makes a sincere effort to accommodate everyone. All areas of the Festival are wheelchair accessible. Should you require assistance or have questions, feel free to contact us at 801.906.8521.

Safety:

The DIY Festival makes use of both outdoor and indoor spaces. Wear sun protection such as sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat, and drink plenty of water.

Security is present at all times.
All bags & containers are subject to search.
No skates or skateboards.
No fliers, handbills, product distribution or solicitation.
No weapons.

Any individual who displays negative, crude, crass, belligerent or any other non-exemplary behavior that causes discomfort towards any person present at the Festival, including attendees, other exhibitors, Craft Lake City staff or volunteers will be asked to leave. Craft Lake City reserves the right to determine what behaviors are deemed inappropriate and non-characteristic of Craft Lake City standards. We do not condone any racist, bigoted, or unsafe behavior from any area of the Festival or within our community.

The Craft Lake City DIY Festival is an outdoor event. The DIY Festival will take place rain or shine. No refunds will be provided due to inclement weather or other acts of God that may take place during the Festival weekend.
