New Craft Lake City Merchandise Available at the 8th Annual DIY Festival

Salt Lake City, Aug. 5  Craft Lake City will feature brand-new merchandise designs at the 8th Annual DIY Festival, held Friday, Aug. 12, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday, Aug. 13, from noon to 10 p.m.; and Sunday, Aug. 14, from noon to 7 p.m.

Craft Lake City hires DIY Festival artisans to create unique designs for its merchandise, giving local favorites as well as up-and-coming artists a great opportunity for their work to be seen and worn around Salt Lake City. This year, Craft Lake City will debut drink koozies and three different enamel pin designs, all featuring artwork by Courtney Blair of Pattern Daily. Blair worked closely with Craft Lake City staff to design the artwork, using empowering messages that represent the nonprofit’s values.

“As a designer, it’s important for me to do work that inspires others,” says Blair. “The iconic geometric design in Craft Lake City’s artwork is a symbol of the common denominator for the festival—creativity. Craft Lake City inspires attendees to use the power of creativity in their everyday lives, and I love that my work is a part of that.”

The booth will also be stocked with T-shirts, blank journals, soaps and baby onesies.

The DIY Festival features over 250 artisans, craft foodies and DIY engineers, as well as two stages with live music and dance by local performers. Tickets can be purchased at 24tix.com. The festival is FREE for kids 12 and under.
