Join us in celebrating ten years of the DIY Festival! The Craft Lake City® DIY Festival® is Utah’s largest local-centric, three-day arts festival, with over 250 local artisans, DIY engineers, vintage vendors, and craft food creators, the Google Fiber STEM Building, two stages of music and dance performances, local food trucks, and approximately 20,000 attendees.

Google Fiber

STEM Building

Join us in the Google Fiber STEM Building as we celebrate makers in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) fields, who use technological innovation to improve and inspire.

  • Get an exclusive peek at new and local inventions, prototypes, and technology-based art projects.

  • Take a free STEM workshop, happening throughout the weekend.

  • Visit the Meet a Scientist table to meet an expert in a STEM field, ask questions and discuss a variety of science and technology topics.

  • Participate in hands-on STEM crafts for kids:
    • Glowing Mask – Light up your Ice Age mask by building a simple circuit with batteries, LEDs and copper tape. (1 ticket)
    • Glitter Slime – See how STEM can really sparkle by by making glitter slime with simple ingredients. (1 ticket)
    • Motorized Toy Car – Build a zippy toy car with a motor and a battery. Learn new skills like how to solder and create circuits! (2 tickets)

Harmons VIP Lounge

In the Harmons VIP Lounge at the center of the Festival action, you’ll enjoy food prepared by Harmons’ chefs, craft cocktails, foodie demos, pairings and more! Stay tuned for more information.

Kid Row

Kid Row is a space at the Craft Lake City DIY Festival especially for local youth artisans ages 14 and younger to sell, promote and exhibit their work. Kid Row debuted at the 2017 DIY Festival and featured 26 youth artisans vending items such as coloring books, jewelry, toys, and more.

 

Kid Row happens ONLY on Saturday, August 11, 2018. Stop by to see the freshest faces in the maker movement!

 

Festival Food

Enjoy lunch or dinner with some of your favorite local food vendors and food trucks!

For the Kids

The DIY Festival has fun activities for the whole family!

  • Travel back in time and experience the animals of the Ice Age in the DIY Festival Kids’ Area
  • Visit the Kids’ Area bounce house, face painting and DIY crafts
  • Participate in hands-on STEM crafts, workshops, and demonstrations
  • Learn and explore at the Meet A Scientist table in the STEM Building
  • Shop and mingle with Utah’s youngest local makers during Kid Row (Saturday only)
  • Find the DIY Festival robot mascot
  • Dance along to live performances
