About: I started Cherries and Feathers 5 years ago as a creative outlet. As a young,hip mom of three I was so dissatisfied with what was available as far as kids clothing. No teddy bears or kittens on my kids clothes please ! I had a bunch of old band tee shirts left over from rock and punk shows,and started upcycling these into dresses for girls. I love felt applique and embroidery and I upcycle jackets and hoodies by embellishing them with these techniques. Upcycling makes every item unique. This year I have found many new ways to upcycle tee shirts, I have added reusable bags, head bands and baby gowns all made from refashioned tee shirts!
