About: Hi! My name is Yoshi. I currently live and work in Salt Lake City. I grew up in the burbs of LA and studied art in Santa Cruz. I have had the pleasure of displaying my work in galleries in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Santa Rosa, Santa Cruz, Sacramento and Salt Lake with creations spanning from paintings to shadow puppets. I have enjoyed making all types of things ever since I was a little kidlet. In my work I try to capture the small moments of wonder that we encounter in the day-to-day. This often comes out in using found items or the images that accompany the writings in my journal. Many mediums tickle my fancy, however I find myself most drawn to wood, glass, ink and paper.
