About: Wife, mother and grandmother. Worked in the Fitness industry for 20 years as owner and manager for family business.
I recently started Spa Secrets 4 U with my daughters. Spa Secrets 4 U is a skincare business that offers All Natural, Green, Luxury Spa Experience Skincare products. We are very proud to tell you that each product we make, as well as our business overall, is environmentally responsible and sustainable.
We have made skincare products for personal use for years. We started doing it in the interest of finding a safe and effective way to manage my youngest daughter’s eczema that had her waking up every morning with blood all over her bedding from scratching her skin completely off. She was miserable and I needed to do something to help her.
We have been managing her eczema quite well and she is doing wonderfully. We have also found out so much more than we ever thought existed about the damaging, harmful and sometimes even toxic chemicals that are put in cosmetics and skincare products.
Recently, I met someone who asked me what made me become so passionate about the environment, peoples health and the safety of all, enough to begin sticking my neck out and try to help people I have never even met.
Something snapped in me and I ended up spilling out the reason behind my cause. She told me I need to tell my "WHY" and help people to understand what drives me and that will give people a bit more understanding of what I am trying to do.
Here is my "WHY"
I am a mother, a grandmother and wife who tooled around in life. My family was the center of my universe and as long as I had my family, I needed nothing else.
Two years ago, my son passed away. He was/is my first born, my only son. My daughters lost their only brother that they have had their entire lives. Their protector, the best big brother that has ever existed.
My grandson lost his father. My only grandson, only grandCHILD, period. HIS ONLY FATHER. He was only 1 year old.
I lost my mind in grief, guilt, loss, horror. I never even thought of this possibility. It was never a consideration. I laid down and gave up, completely, on life. I had no will, energy, strength, nothing.
But I had my husband, three daughters and my ONLY grandchild, who will suffer the biggest loss. He was only 1 year old when he lost his father. The family I still have, although now incomplete, is more than I am willing to allow myself to let go of.
So I needed to do something to help me pull myself back to the living. I need a purpose and a mission. Something that gives me a reason to fight.
My youngest daughter is 15 and the other two are adults. My grandson is 3 now and he is the funniest, smartest, steamrolling trouble that exists. Wow, I am so fortunate to be his "grandma puppy"
So I gave myself a purpose, a goal, a mission.
My grandson has a mother, and she is the best mother that has ever existed. She has my complete respect and I am in awe of her.
What he does not have is his father, a fathers job is to protect and I wanted to give my grandson protection of his future in the way I know how.
If I can accomplish what I am trying to do, I will be helping to give my daughters and all my grandchildren a safer, healthier and better future. I know how to help heal, protect and remove the chemicals a body is damaged by through the exposure of skincare. I will find the absolute best packaging options that will plant the idea of and get people use/think about/talk about natural products, synthetic chemicals, cleaner environment, waste, eco friendly...SUSTAINABLE and CLEANER, GREENER PLANET.
I am good at making skincare products that are better, more nutrient rich, provide protection, restore, reverse signs of aging, environmental damage, and on and on..
I can make luxury skincare products that help get people to see that natural ingredients are better and more luxurious than anything store bought.
Anything I don't already know..... I will find out and continue to build on, improve and make better.
I am a research addict.
This is how I will be a protector to my grandson and help fill the void left by his father being unable to fill the role.
I am going to create the products and work myself to death to give my grandson (and any future grandchildren I have not yet met) a future on a planet that will be less damaged by the toxins, pollution, trash, overflowing landfills, chemicals that we have been using without fully understanding the harm being inflicted on ourselves and our planet. I will help people will see the harm from waste, what we need to be doing to clean it and provide alternatives that will help to make the changes to natural, environmentally responsible and health supporting for all lives.
This is what I am determined to give my grandson.
This is the "WHY" that builds the determination behind Spa Secrets 4 U.
