About: Tattooed Tinker Studio is the work of Nile & Michelle Fahmy. It is a brother & sister business that is based on salvaging non-ferrous metals, like copper, and forging them into precious things, like jewelry.
At Tattooed Tinker Studio, we create art and jewelry using traditional forging methods. We are self-taught coppersmiths and enjoy experimenting with form and function. And we strive to use as few machined tools as possible as we find that pre-manufactured tools stamp our work with a standardized quality.
Our work is made by our hands, our tools are made by our hands, and we know that you will not see marks of another person’s style in our finished work because the tools we use are unique to our process. And the materials we use are unique to what we've salvaged!
We try to stage as many situations as possible in which we are creating our work in front of customers because we want them to be reminded that jewelry and artwork do NOT come from stores.
Precious items come from the hands of dedicated artists and if we do not reinforce that chain of creation it will be lost from our culture.
