Tracey Harty has never been without a creative hobby. Her 4-H sewing lessons became a lifetime skill, and she later took up quilting, crocheting and cross-stitching. Now more full-time marketer and little-time crafter, Tracey is an integrated marketing communications consultant whose artistic instincts are now heading in the direction of graphic design to help her clients. She has a knack for it after watching designers for more than seven years during her time as an account supervisor at one of Salt Lake’s premier advertising agencies, Penna Powers Brian Haynes. She’s also done matte cutting and picture framing at a family business (Bullock Frame Co.), managed and promoted the Gina Bachauer International Piano Foundation, worked on some political campaigns and even ran for office herself when she didn’t like her city council member’s representation of her neighborhood. Tracey also played a key role in launching a non-profit organization this year, guiding her neighbors in forming a board and filing for 501(c) 3 status for K.E.E.P. Yalecrest. Her marketing strengths include strategic planning and budgeting; placement in social, digital, print, outdoor, non-traditional and broadcast media; market research; and public relations. Oh, and she’s been making homemade truffles and hand-dipped chocolates with her family for nearly 20 years.
