On behalf of SLUG Magazine and Craft Lake City, we would like to extend a heart-felt thank you in making the first annual Craft Lake City alternative art and craft festival, a success. The vision of this event was to provide an affordable platform for regional artists to showcase their innovative wares and artistic skills in an inviting and community-based environment.
Salt Lake City's response to the first annual Craft Lake City was remarkable. Over 120 artists submitted to participate as vendors and a juried panel had the difficult job of selecting only 75 of these artists to participate. This single-day event included 15 sponsor booths, eight local bands and over 3,500 visitors.
Craft Lake City was recognized during the weeks leading up to (and those following) the festival, in numerous media outlets including print, television, radio and online features.
We will continue to update this website throughout the year so please check back often for photos of the event, media clips and press links can be found on craftlakecity.com.
We sincerely hope that you enjoyed your experience and plan to support Craft Lake City at our next festival on August 14, 2010 at the Gallivan Center.
