Sponsored Families Program

Craft Lake City’s Sponsored Families Program ensures that Utah families from all backgrounds can fully enjoy the DIY Festival and Holiday Market. Selected families receive free admission, meal and craft vouchers, and access to activities—making a fun, full festival experience possible for everyone.

The Sponsored Families Program is designed to make the DIY Festival and Holiday Market accessible to families from underrepresented or economically disadvantaged communities. Craft Lake City works with nonprofit partners to identify families who can benefit from this initiative.

Participation Includes:

Families are invited to attend the Festival or Market with guidance from Craft Lake City and partner organizations
Entry tickets and vouchers for food, crafts and merchandise are provided to each family member
Families are free to enjoy the festival at their own pace while participating in activities designed for all ages

The program is aimed at families from socially or economically excluded communities. Eligible families:

Have household incomes below 50% of the county median
May be a single individual or multiple people sharing a household and budget
Are committed to attending and participating in festival activities

Community nonprofit partners help identify families and provide support for logistics, language barriers, and coordination.

DIY Festival:
- General admission ticket for each family member
- One meal voucher per person
- One beverage voucher per person
- Kids craft voucher (under 12) or STEM craft voucher (ages 13–17)
- One Craft Lake City merchandise voucher per person
Holiday Market:
- General admission ticket for each family member
- One meal voucher per person
- One Craft Lake City merchandise voucher per person

Community organizations can nominate families who would benefit from this program. Nominations help ensure that festival access reaches diverse and underserved communities.
