Craft Lake City presents BannerWorks—a series of 14 large-scale panels displayed along Broadway (300 South) between 200 West and 200 East. For nearly a decade, Craft Lake City has helped energize downtown Salt Lake City’s evolving cultural district through dynamic public art exhibitions. Open 24/7 and free to the public, the panels feature visually striking artwork designed to captivate and engage passersby.
Health & Heritage Fair
August & September 2026
Craft Lake City is proud to debut a new BannerWorks exhibition created in partnership with the Utah Health Policy Project (UHPP), highlighting the upcoming Health & Heritage Fair and celebrating health, culture and community in Utah.
Now on display along Broadway in downtown Salt Lake City, the exhibition features 14 large-scale photographs paired with informational graphics introducing visitors to the Health & Heritage Fair, an annual community event hosted by UHPP’s Take Care Utah program. The exhibition will remain on display through Sept. 27, 2026.
The installation coincides with Hispanic Heritage Month, celebrated annually from Sept. 15 through Oct. 15, and highlights the people, culture and community connections at the heart of the Health & Heritage Fair.
“The Health & Heritage Fair is about bringing people together to celebrate Hispanic heritage while making health resources and community services more accessible,” says Julie Sotelo, Take Care Utah Manager at Utah Health Policy Project. “We’re grateful to partner with Craft Lake City to share that message in a new way and invite more people to learn about the fair and the resources available to them.”
About the Health & Heritage Fair
The 2026 Health & Heritage Fair will take place Saturday, Sept. 26, from 12–8:30 p.m. at the Utah State Fairpark. The event is free and open to everyone.
Hosted by Take Care Utah, the fair brings families and communities together for a day of health resources, cultural celebration and connection. Visitors can enjoy live music, folkloric dance and cultural performances, family activities, local food and vendors while connecting with healthcare providers and community organizations.
The fair also provides access to free health resources and services, including health screenings, vaccines, healthcare education, enrollment assistance and connections to local providers and support organizations.

Craft Lake City is proud to debut DIY Takes Broadway, the latest installation in its BannerWorks outdoor exhibition series. The public exhibition features artwork from exhibitors participating in the 18th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival Presented By Harmons. Now on display in downtown Salt Lake City, DIY Takes Broadway offers a preview of the artisans and experiences visitors will discover at this year’s DIY Festival, Aug. 7–9, 2026, at the Utah State Fairpark.
DIY Takes Broadway features 12 banners, each created by local DIY Festival exhibitors, highlighting their original artwork and designs. Two additional banners, designed by Craft Lake City’s graphic designer Kaden Terry, introduce visitors to the DIY Festival and invite the public to experience the featured artists’ work in person.

“At Craft Lake City, we believe creativity should be accessible to everyone,” says Angela H. Brown, Executive Director of Craft Lake City. “BannerWorks brings local artwork into a public space where anyone can experience it while celebrating the artists, makers and innovators who help shape Utah’s creative community.”
To celebrate the exhibition, Craft Lake City will host a free virtual Lunch & Learn on Wednesday, July 22, at 12 p.m. MDT via Zoom. During the event, attendees will hear directly from several featured artisans as they discuss their work, creative process and inspiration behind their pieces. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions during a live Q&A.
The featured exhibitors represent a wide range of creative disciplines, including illustration, painting, photography and mixed media. Their banners offer a preview of the creativity visitors can experience at the DIY Festival.
Visitors are encouraged to explore DIY Takes Broadway before attending the 18th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival Presented By Harmons, Aug. 7-9, 2026, at the Utah State Fairpark. There, they can shop local, meet the makers, enjoy live demonstrations and performances, participate in hands-on activities and discover Utah’s creative community.

Craft Lake City is proud to announce their new Celebration of the Hand exhibition: The Soul of the West featuring 14 pieces shot by a Utah-based artist best known as The Cowboy Photographer, Seth Stern. This new outdoor photography exhibition features a series of 14 black-and-white photographs capturing the culture, resilience and spirit of cowboys across the west.
As part of the exhibition programming, Craft Lake City hosted a free virtual Lunch & Learn conversation on May 15th at 1pm, featuring Seth Stern and members of the community. During the live online discussion, attendees had the opportunity to hear directly from the artist about the inspiration and meaning behind The Soul of the West, engage in conversation about the work, and ask questions.
About the Artist:
Originally from Los Angeles, Seth Stern began photographing cowboys while traveling across the country after leaving the film industry. What started as a search for direction evolved into a personal and artistic transformation that continues to shape their work today. Stern’s work documents the people and traditions of the American West through intimate portraiture and candid moments exploring themes of identity, faith, perseverance and transformation.
Installed along Broadway (300 South) between 200 East and Main Street in downtown Salt Lake City, The Soul of the West is free and open to the public 24 hours a day, seven days a week for the month of May and June 2026. The exhibition is presented as part of Craft Lake City’s Celebration of the Hand, a rotating public art series highlighting Utah and regional artists and mission-driven organizations. Celebration of the Hand exhibitions explore themes and ideas in ways that feel meaningful and relevant to the community.
