Salt Lake City, UT — July 2, 2022 – Continuing its decade-plus reputation for promoting the best from Utah’s wide-ranging performing arts communities, the 14th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival Presented By Harmons returns in 2022 with almost 40 acts spread across two stages, the SLUG Mag (Main) Stage and the 90.9 FM KRCL Stage.
The SLUG Mag stage features performances from a range of varied and diverse artists. Ahead of a special, Friday-night headlining performance from a yet-to-be-announced artist, previous DIY Festival performers such as Angie Petty share the stage with first-time Festival participants XDX and Detzany. Saturday, the Festival’s longest day, presents a breadth of music that encompasses Puerto Rican dance from Bomba Marile, Columbia Jones’ throwback folk rock, second-time DIY Festival performer Nicole McMahan’s high-energy R&B and more. Sunday on the SLUG Mag stage eschews the pop and hip-hop focus of the two previous days for a more rock-influenced set of artists, featuring not-to-miss performances from Choice Coin, Lane & The Chain and others.
The four Friday performances on the KRCL Stage serve as a microcosm for the Festival’s artistic diversity—indie folk from Pepper Rose, O’Nkosi E Afrobeats Live SLC’s Afrodance rhythms, GLO UP’s conscious hip-hop and the cross-cultural mashups of A&A Bollypop. Saturday and Sunday bring back a number of DIY Festival regulars (Salduro and the Salt Lake Academy of Music) alongside fresh voices representing the best of the state’s new scenes in rock (Daytime Lover, MSKING, MUSOR) and pop (Saysha, Gavanni and MOD).
Find the full schedule for both the SLUG Mag and KRCL stages below. Tickets for the 14th Annual DIY Festival Presented By Harmons will be on sale soon.
