Craft Lake City Announces Call For Entries For 7th Annual DIY Festival

Calls For Entries: Craft Lake City is accepting applications for participants in 7th Annual Do-It-Yourself Festival To Be Held at The Gallivan Center
August 7 & 8, 2015

For Immediate Release:  SALT LAKE CITY, Thursday, April 9, 2015: Craft Lake City, a 501(c3) charitable organization, announced last month that applications for its 2015 DIY Festival Presented by Harmons and Ken Garff Fiat are now open.  

Applications will be accepted for all categories: artisans, craft foodies, DIY engineers, boutique/non-profit, vintage vendors, commercial food vendors, food trucks, buskers and performers. Those interested can apply at craftlakecity.com/apply

Artisan, craft foodie, boutique/nonprofit & vintage applications close on Monday, May 4 at midnight.  

DIY Engineer, busker, performer, commercial food & food truck applications, close Monday, June 15, at Midnight.

“The application process is one of the most exciting moments of producing the festival,” says Angela H. Brown, Craft Lake City’s Executive Director. “Every year, we receive applicants from so many talented local residents. 

All applicants must be current Utah residents in order to be accepted into Craft Lake City’s DIY Festival. 

This year’s Craft Lake City DIY Festival marks its seventh year and third year expanding into a two-day format. The Festival begins Friday, Aug. 7, 2015 from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. and concludes Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015 from noon to 10 p.m. The outdoor handmade arts festival will accept over 200 vendors specializing in DIY made goods such as: silk screened posters, progressive crafts, DIY designs, reconstructed clothing, knitted items, jewelry, letter-pressed books and more, along with local musicians and performers, craft food vendors, and a Google Fiber’s STEM building to showcase the work and ideas of DIY Engineers. It will be held at the Gallivan Center in downtown Salt Lake City, admission is $5 and children 12 and under are free. More information can be found at craftlakecity.com.
