Craft Lake City, The Center for the Living City and The Temporary Museum of Permanent Change are pleased to announce a new street-side display, presented in partnership with Utah Division of Arts & Museums. The Local Voices: Statewide Annual installation highlights the work of past Statewide Annual Exhibition award winners and artwork acquisitions, with a spotlight on this year’s call for entries that runs Sept 20 – Oct 20. Artists will be notified of results on Friday, October 25.
The Statewide Annual theme rotates between Mixed Media & Works on Paper, Craft, Photography, Video & Digital works, and Painting & Sculpture. Works are chosen for display by two out-of-state artists or arts professionals who travel to the Rio Gallery to jury the exhibition. A $1,000 best in show award is given to one artist, as well as six $600 jurors’ awards. Jurors also select two honorable mentions. New this year: People’s Choice Award.

This installation is presented as part of the Local Voices series, designed to highlight the inspiring work of Utah-based organizations in an effort to connect the community with ideas that matter.
