Craft Lake City and Project Rainbow are partnering for the second year in a row to host a gift drive at The Fourth Annual Craft Lake City Holiday Market Presented By Google Fiber benefiting Utah LGBTQ+ families in need. Project Rainbow will be accepting donations of gifts, toys, children’s clothes, & artisan-made goods at their table during both days of the Holiday Market, set to take place on Friday, December 2 & Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Ogden Union Station. As the Fourth Annual Craft Lake City Holiday Market Presented by Google Fiber is the perfect spot to shop locally from over 100 Utah-based makers, we encourage attendees to consider purchasing products from the Holiday Market exhibitors to donate—some vendors will even be providing discounts on items purchased for the drive!
“At last year’s Gift Drive, we were able to help 19 BIPOC/LGBTQIA+ families — not only with their children (ages 1 to 21) but also the parents/guardians,” says Project Rainbow Board Chair Roberto Lopez. “The donations reached families ranging from Draper to Ogden and the items were delivered in person by Unidxs, Craft Lake City and Project Rainbow Volunteers or Staff. It brought us all great joy to be able to help. One of my favorite moments from last year was when a Craft Lake City exhibitor came to the Project Rainbow booth and donated a quilt that must have taken so long to create. It was so beautiful and they wanted it to go to one of our families! I think this exemplifies what the Holiday season is all about. We’re overjoyed to be bringing our gift drive back to the Craft Lake City Holiday Market venue for the second year in a row. We’ll see you there!”
