Salt Lake City, UT – Tomorrow kicks off the official first day of summer, opening the gates for backyard grilling, patio brunches and, of course, the opportunity for everyone to begin crafting at-home, summertime cocktails. Craft Lake City’s online workshop series now includes an opportunity for all DIY-ers to upgrade their cocktail-making abilities.
Learn how to make three simple cocktails with confidence and ease by taking an online craft workshop with mixologist Chase Bardole. By purchasing, you certify that you are 21 years of age or older. Additionally, half of the ticket sales will support Alibi Bar & Place, a local venue and host of monthly Craft Lake City workshops, which is currently closed due to COVID-19.
“Craft Lake City’s online workshops give us the opportunity to highlight Utah’s talented maker community, while also helping people engage in fun creative projects at home during this challenging time,” says Angela H. Brown, Executive Director of Craft Lake City. “Additionally, the At-Home Craft Cocktails workshop gives back to one of many local businesses that would appreciate our community support, now more than ever.”
For years, Craft Lake City has provided a platform for Utah artists, crafters and makers to share their skill sets and passions with the greater community through in-person workshops. The COVID-19 pandemic challenged us to become more innovative in the way we serve our creative community. Members of the public may now enjoy their favorite DIY workshops anytime, anywhere with Craft Lake City’s online programs.
Tickets for the online workshop, as well as upcoming programs, are available on the Craft Lake City website. The At-Home Craft Cocktails workshop is $7; ingredients are not included. Future online workshop themes include silk scarf dyeing, candle pouring and more.
The DIY craft online workshops are supported in part by the residents of Salt Lake County through the Zoo, Arts & Parks (ZAP) Program, the Salt Lake City Arts Council, George S. & Dolores Doré Eccles Foundation and Utah Arts and Museums, with funding from the State of Utah and the National Endowment for the Arts. The At-Home Craft Cocktails workshop is sponsored in part by Angel’s Envy.
