UNITY INITIATIVE
Launched in 2016, Craft Lake City’s Unity Initiative program fosters an inclusive creative community that reflects Utah’s diversity. It supports individuals from refugee, underrepresented and economically or socially excluded communities, creating pathways for creative and economic growth.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Craft Lake City’s DIY Festival and Holiday Market aim to empower individual artisans, creatives and small business owners in Utah. These events provide opportunities for participants to showcase their work, attract new customers and boost sales while promoting a thriving DIY culture.
To promote inclusivity and equity, Craft Lake City has implemented the Scholarship and Mentor Program, offering exhibitors in artisan, vintage and craft food categories business training, networking, waived booth fees and ongoing one-on-one mentorship surrounding the Annual Craft Lake City Event.
Scholarships for exhibiting in the GFiber STEM Building are available for small, local non-profit groups, whose mission is related to education in STEM fields. Scholarships are awarded on a sliding scale and may waive entire booth fees.
