SALT LAKE CITY, Monday, July 6th — Craft Lake City is excited to announce this year’s festival entertainment, food vendors and DIY engineers for the 7th annual DIY Festival presented by Harmons and Ken Garff Fiat. The festival will feature over 100 DIY engineers, commercial food vendors, food trucks, performers and buskers, as well as over 250 artisans, craft foodies, vintage vendors, commercial vendors and non-profit organizations.
The DIY Festival is a two-day festival held annually at the Gallivan Center, located at 239 S. Main Street, on Aug. 7 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Aug. 8 from noon to 10 p.m.
After receiving almost 300 applications, the Craft Lake City jury underwent the difficult task of selecting this year’s participating performers. The accepted applicants represent a wide range of Utah’s DIY movement. Attendees of the two-day festival can expect to see and hear bands, DJs and dancers from diverse genres.
In addition to the accepted exhibitors, Craft Lake City will showcase the work of DIY engineers in our STEM Building sponsored by Google. DIY engineers include individuals creating robotics, bicycles, alternative energy ideas and LED lighting solutions.
