This workshop is sold out. In this NHMU workshop, presented by Craft Lake City, local artist and creative business owner Laura Muir will lead attendees through the process of creating stunning watercolors inspired by the natural world. Participants will learn basic drawing and painting techniques, examine concepts of positive and negative space, and then make their own botanical artwork to hang at home.

Local artisan Sarah Beth Timmons became enamored with lettering and calligraphy when learning cursive in the second grade. Today she creates prints and embroidered pieces that showcase her talent, humor and wit. In this Craft Lake City workshop at West Elm, participants will learn how to use simple writing utensils to draw letters, and then make their very own valentines.

Embroidered and Beaded Brooches

In this stylish Craft Lake City workshop held at The Gallivan Center, local fiber artist Danielle Susi will teach attendees basic beading and embroidery skills. Participants will then put their new knowledge to use making their own custom embellished brooch to wear or share. Materials will be provided and no experience is necessary.
