Susie Barnard of GinnyPenny is an award-winning local artisan and DIY Festival alumna who specializes in creating imaginative characters from felt. In this workshop at The Stockist, Barnard will teach us how to cut, sew and assemble adorable felt penguins for holiday ornaments or gifts.

In this Craft Workshop at the Natural History Museum of Utah, presented by Craft Lake City, fiber artist and educator Deanna Baugh will teach attendees the history and basic properties of tapestry weaving. Using simple wooden looms, textured yarns, and unspun wool roving, workshop participants will make beautiful woven wall hangings to adorn their living space.

In this Craft Lake City workshop at West Elm, White will walk attendees through the process of creating their very own bohemian-inspired llama embroidered hoops. Attendees will have the option to turn the hoop into an ornament for the holidays.

Artisan Amanda Stokes founded Tightly Bound Books in 2016 after being in the bookbinding industry for 9 years. Her vision is to share the old art of bookbinding and book repair with the community. In this Craft Lake City workshop at The Gallivan Center, Stokes will lead attendees through the process of stitching together hand-bound rustic leather journals with a link stitch. Join us to learn basic bookbinding skills and leave with a journal to keep for yourself or to gift to a friend this holiday season.

Watercolor Workshop
