Salt Lake City, Thursday Feb. 26 —West Elm and Craft Lake City announce the June Soap Making Workshop with Tami Thornton of Beehive Soap & Body Care. The workshop will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at West Elm City Creek from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Tami Thornton started making soap while completing her bachelors degree in the summer of 2009. Finding resources from the internet and her local community, Thornton transformed her business, Beehive Soap & Body Care from a hobby into the thriving business it is now. Her skills and dedication have lead to her appointment to the Board of Directors of the Handcrafted Soap & Cosmetics Guild. At this workshop, participants will learn how to create their own glycerin soap.
“The method of soap making is really fun,” Says Thornton. “You get to choose your color, fragrance and mold to use. The soaps will be ready to take home and use right away, or they make great gifts!”
