My name is Johari Du Pont I am a Multicultural Queer Neruodivergent Artist from Tacoma, Washington. I am the sole owner and operator of Johari’s Art & Design and personally create all my own artwork and merchandise. I create surrealist paintings and prints inspired by my love of Mountains, Forest Corridors, and the Pacific Ocean. Now that I live in Utah, I have created several pieces from the hikes I’ve been on from Mirror lake to Brighton’s Mountains. I create as a means of processing the world, infusing my environmental painting with organic life with themes such as “eyes” placed into nature and the sun. I use acrylic Golden paints, water soluble oil pastels, and pigment liners to create each piece. When I finish a piece I use archive varnish to seal artwork so it may not fade in the future.
