Alex is drawn to the physical nature of printmaking, as well as the historical importance of the process. They love being completely immersed in their work, spending hours carving linoleum and then the exciting first reveal of pulling the print from the press. Their work has been described as “mesmerizing,” “captivating,” and “stunning”. They are continually honing their skills, attending classes, multi-day workshops, and residencies. Currently a part-time artist, Alex sells their work at local markets, teaches classes, and takes custom commissions. Their inspiration comes from the mountains, gardening, and long hikes with their dog. They are a member of Saltgrass Printmakers.
