Have you ever seen sound? Did you know that sound moves in waves from its source towards your ears? These sound waves can create beautiful and amazing geometric patterns that we can see with just a little bit of Physics and a whole lot of wonder. Come explore the visualization of different sound waves with The Leonardo during their workshops on Saturday and Sunday.
Westminster College’s chapter of the American Chemical Society will be presenting kids workshops on DIY bookmarks and UV bead bracelets on both Saturday and Sunday. Kids will be able to create their very own bracelets or necklaces out of beads that change color under UV light. Chemist Volunteers will be on hand to explain the science behind these two experiments.
Be sure to visit the STEM building at the 11th Annual Craft Lake City® DIY Festival® for your chance to participate in a free workshop, make a craft and learn more about what local scientists, engineers and tinkerers are creating.
