Salt Lake City, Feb 1 – Craft Lake City announces today that applications for Kid Row at the 10th Annual Craft Lake City® DIY Festival® are now open.
Kid Row is a space at the DIY Festival especially for local youth artisans ages 14 and younger to sell, promote and exhibit their work. Kid Row provides youth with an opportunity to gain entrepreneurial skills and interact with the public at Utah’s largest three-day, local-centric art, science and technology festival. In 2017, Kid Row featured 26 youth artisans vending goods such as jewelry, toys, coloring books, 3D art, and stationery products.
“At Craft Lake City, we understand the importance of educating, promoting and inspiring local artisans of all ages,” said Angela H. Brown, Executive Director of Craft Lake City. “Kid Row provides young people with the opportunity to experience entrepreneurship first-hand. We can’t wait to see what this year’s youth artisans bring to the Festival!”
Youth interested in applying can visit the Craft Lake City website for more information. Applications must be received by Thursday, April 5 at 11:59 p.m.
First-time applicants are also invited to attend Application Assistance Days, where Craft Lake City staff will be on hand to offer assistance with the process and a professional photographer will be available to help photograph your products, free of charge.
