Craft Lake City to participate in Love Utah Give Utah – 24 hour fundraiser—St. George

St. George – On March 20, 2014, Craft Lake City, along with 500 other Utah non-profits, will be joining Love Utah Give Utah in a 24-hour group effort to raise funds for Utah non-profits.

Love Utah Give Utah brings Utahns together for 24 hours of giving, providing the community a day to give back to those organizations that make Utah so special.

Craft Lake City will be hosting a table at the DOCUTAH reception for the screening of We Women Warriors at Dixie State University in the Eccles Main Stage Theatre on March 20, 2014, in St. George, Utah. The public is encouraged to attend the reception between 5:30 – 6:45 p.m. to make a tax-deductible donation of $30 to Craft Lake City’s fundraising efforts. Donating $30 or more will enter donors to win a free flight on JetBlue to the city of their choice. Donations can also be made right now through March 20 at 11:59 p.m. Visit http://www.razoo.com/story/Craft-Lake-City to donate today.

All funds raised for Craft Lake City during Love Utah Give Utah will go towards all aspects of the organization, including DIY Festival expenses, monthly workshops, gallery shows and exhibits, fundraisers and collaborative projects with like-minded organizations.

Since its inception in 2009, Craft Lake City has run on virtually no funding. However, in order for Craft Lake City to grow and expand its reach with both the DIY Festival and year-round activities, Craft Lake City is asking for the assistance of the community. By being a part of the Love Utah Give Utah event on March 20, Craft Lake City hopes to spread the word on the organization, further defining the term “Craft,” broadening the definition to encompass all things handmade.

Support Craft Lake City and over 500 of Utah’s non-profits for 24 hours of unprecedented giving. Your donation will help to ensure that Craft Lake City can continue to grow and support the DIY community throughout our great state.
