‘DIY Fest After Dark’, Saturday Lineup Announced for the 16th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival Presented By Harmons

Craft Lake City will be extending the hours of its 16th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival Presented By Harmons for a new Saturday-only music program called “DIY Fest After Dark”. From 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, the KRCL Main Stage will welcome four additional bands to end the night with a bang. On-site bars will also remain open. The artisan market portion of the festival will still close at 8:00 p.m. and be unavailable to attendees of DIY Fest After Dark during the after hours performances. Tickets for the Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival are currently on sale in advance at 24tix.com. General admission on Saturday gets all visitors access to After Dark at no additional charge.

“Every year we like to introduce a new element to the Craft Lake City DIY Festival, ” says Angela H. Brown, executive director of Craft Lake City. “This year, we thought it would be fun to keep the Festival open late on Saturday night in order to highlight more local acts.”

The four bands performing at DIY Fest After Dark are Jimi Dead, Purr Bats, Drusky and a band to be determined. In keeping with past years at the Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival, Friday, August 9 will remain the festival’s opening celebration as National headliner Kacy Hill joins local headliners Talia Keys & The Love and Tolchock Trio alongside other performers as part of the full weekend lineup. Sunday at the festival will also welcome major local performers to the stage, making for a packed weekend of performers.

The full weekend lineup of 50+ acts will perform across two stages–the 90.9 FM KRCL Stage and the Gallery of Fine Hyper-Arts Stage–as well as across the festival grounds as buskers. This year’s lineup features a diverse range of acts and artists from the Salt Lake and wider Utah music scene, including returning performers and newcomers.

Saturday’s full lineup will bring Allegiant Dance Crew, Community Building Services, Halau Ku Pono I Kamalani, The Alpines, DOOMCUPCAKE, SheCock with a Vengeance, Freak Buck, and Musor to the KRCL Stage along with aforementioned performances by Drusky.

The GOFHA Stage will welcome Bomba Marile, The Benny C Quartet, Shapes Named Soap, Stage Fright, KJ Ward and Teddy P during the day, with Jimi Dead and Purr Bats performing on the stage during DIY Fest After Dark.

Buskers Lillian Van Daam, Boots to the Moon, Scott Lippitt, Emma Lamb and Josh Lewis, Atlas Bishop, Cody Himself, Mousley, Sluffer and John and Paul will also be performing on Saturday.

A detailed schedule of performance dates and times will be unveiled later in the summer. The full list of staged and busking performers is available below.
