Pointillism Painting Workshop 🎨❄️

Learn how to paint a lovely, wintery scene of the Wasatch Mountains surrounded by a spectrum of blue pointillism-style dots in this DIY workshop with local artist Elizabeth Walsh! Create a black-and-white mountain inspired by the snowy Wasatch, then paint a golden moon or sun in the sky and add lots of perfect blue dots. Elizabeth will teach you the techniques you’ll need for painting the mountains as well as getting the ideal, standardized dot in this pointillism style, a truly meditative process! All supplies are provided, and beginners are welcome! Attendees will also receive a bonus $10 gift card to one of the restaurants at Valley Fair for their next visit!

About The Instructor: 
Originally from Wyoming, Elizabeth Walsh is a Salt Lake City based artist inspired by the mountains and hiking. Her paintings focus on highly-detailed mountain ranges and landscapes scenes from National Parks. Her pointillism incorporates thousands of small dots and gold leaf to bring light and movement throughout the piece.

Holder Workshop 🌿🍸

Learn the art of macramé and construct your very own mini plant propagation hanger in this hands-on craft workshop with local artisan Knots By Gisel! Attendees will learn techniques for creating a three-dimensional macramé piece from start to finish, including rope cutting and a variety of fundamental knots. Each participant will be provided with a plant cutting of their choosing and glass jar to accompany their handmade macramé holder. Included in the purchase price of the workshop ticket, attendees will enjoy a signature cocktail (or non-alcoholic mocktail!) at Alibi Bar & Place inspired by this specific workshop, handcrafted with care by Alibi’s talented bartenders. Workshop participants will have the opportunity to purchase additional beverages during the class if they so choose. This workshop is a 21+ event.

About The Instructor: 
Knots by Gisel was founded in 2020 out of Ogden, UT. As an obsessed plant mama, Giselda needed a way to bring the bohemian love to model all of her plant beauties and found that there was magic at her fingertips!
