Holiday Market is Moving Online!
Fri., Dec. 4 – Mon., Jan. 4

Salt Lake City – Craft Lake City is pleased to announce a new format for the Second Annual Craft Lake City Holiday Market this December: an Online Market with Virtual Meetups! This new version of the Holiday Market will support local makers by prioritizing seasonal retail sales through online exhibitor profiles on craftlakecity.com from Fri., Dec. 4 – Mon., Jan. 4.  Craft Lake City will host two live Virtual Meetups on Fri., Dec.11 and Fri., Dec. 18 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. to give artisans and shoppers the opportunity to connect in a custom-made, virtual reality, holiday wonderland.

The Second Annual Craft Lake City Holiday Market was originally scheduled to take place in-person from Dec. 4-5 at The Monarch in Ogden’s Nine Rails Creative District. However, in light of rising coronavirus cases and Craft Lake City’s commitment to prioritize both the economic and physical well-being of our creative community, the Craft Lake City Board of Directors made the decision to transition the Holiday Market to an online and virtual format.

“An online alternative format continues to prioritizes the health and wellbeing of our community, while also providing artisans with an opportunity to grow their businesses as a market participants,” said Craft Lake City Executive Director Angela H. Brown. “I continue to be inspired by the resilience, ingenuity and positivity of our incredible community and look forward to the future when we can safely and confidently gather together in-person. Until then, let’s innovate and enjoy connecting in a new and exciting, virtual way!”

Through this new alternative Holiday Market format, Craft Lake city aims to offer locals a safe and fun way to connect with one another while supporting Utah’s creative businesses. Additionally, by redefining what participation in the Holiday Market looks like for artisans this season, Craft Lake City hopes to provide local makers with an opportunity to reach an online audience that expands beyond the state line.
