Craft Lake City is pleased to announce the National headliner and wider performer lineup for the 16th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival Presented By Harmons. Headliner Kacy Hill will take the stage on Friday, August 9, 2024 alongside local headliners Talia Keys & The Love and Tolchock Trio to celebrate opening night of Utah’s largest local-centric arts, music, science & technology festival. Across the three day event from Friday, August 9 through Sunday, August 11, the 2024 DIY Fest will once again welcome 50+ local musicians and other performing artists to the Utah State Fairgrounds to share their talents with the Utah arts community. New for this year, after the artisan booths close at 8 p.m. on Saturday night, enjoy four more bands for an extra two hours of music and drinks in what Craft Lake City calls DIY Fest After Dark. Sunday’s lineup will also welcome major local performers to the stage, making for a packed weekend of performers. Tickets for the Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival are currently on sale in advance at 24tix.com.
“We’re welcoming so many incredible talents to the stage this year ” says Executive Director Angela H. Brown. “With Kacy Hill as our National headliner, multiple local headliners and the new DIY Fest After Dark lineup–in addition to our fantastic local performers and buskers–we’re seeing an exciting expansion of our programming as we continue to elevate Utah’s musicians.”
In keeping with previous festivals, the 16th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival Presented By Harmons will feature its acts across two stages–the 90.9 FM KRCL Stage and the Gallery of Fine Hyper-Arts Stage–as well as busking across the festival grounds.
This year’s lineup features a diverse range of acts and artists from the Salt Lake and wider Utah music scene, including returning performers and newcomers. Friday’s set will include Tolchock Trio, Talia Keys and The Love, and Kacy Hill on the KRCL Stage; X’d and Goldie & the Guise on the GOFHA Stage; and local acts Liv Rylan and Gavanni are currently slated to performing as buskers. Starfall Circus will also be performing Lyra aerial dance on Friday in the gazebo on-site and in the VIP Lounge Sponsored By Utah’s Own.
A detailed schedule of performance dates and times will be unveiled later in the summer. The full list of staged and busking performers is available below.

About the Headlining Performers at the 16th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival Presented By Harmons
Kacy Hill has spent her entire career growing in a musical cocoon. With three studio albums, Like A Woman, Is It Selfish If We Talk About Me Again?, and Simple, Sweet, and Smiling, and high-profile collabs with artists like Travis Scott (“90210)” and Kid Cudi (“Releaser”), she spent years flexing her musical wings in every direction. But on her incoming 2024 album BUG!, Hill has hatched into her most realized and refined self. Recruiting sonic innovators such as Bartees Strange, Nourished by Time, and Jim-E Stack to nurture the potency of her vision, BUG! is a tapestry of earthy folk, dream-pop, and spacious Americana — all orbiting the themes of angst and the clarity of confidence patiently waiting on the other side of it.
Being applauded by song-writing giants like Lana Del Rey and Lorde and industry definers such as Vogue, Pitchfork, Ones To Watch, PAPER Magazine, HYPEBEAST, V Magazine, Interview Magazine, DAZED, COLORS, Perfectly Imperfect, and Nylon, Hill certifies that her metamorphosis into her final form is only just beginning.
Talia Keys is an activist-musician who has laid a loyal local foundation in Salt Lake City clubs for over a decade, and later made her name on national tours and jam festivals from coast to coast. Keys’ vintage ethos, as well as her trademark fire and brimstone stage presence, are an amalgam of her journey, identity, influences; a new twist on the rock n’ roll troubadour singing songs of struggle and ultimately, triumph. Like so many soul and blues heroines who have paved the roads before her, Keys writes and sings of the tensions that continue to plague our cultural climate.
As a queer woman in today’s divided America, she’s on a mission to tenaciously deliver an uplifting message while fiercely advocating for the underrepresented. It’s a badge of honor that Talia wears with pride, and infuses into her art.
Tolchock Trio is one of the most influential SLC bands from the 2000s. The group will reunite once more at the 16th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival Presented By Harmons, following reunion performances in 2017 and at Kilby Block Party in 2023.
Their power guitars and little-to-no nonsense style made them a standout on the rock end of the Utah musical spectrum. Between 2000 and 2013, the group produced three albums in total: 2003’s Hello Bird, 2005’s Ghosts Don’t Have Bones and the critically acclaimed 2008 album Abalone Skeletone. These legacy extreme rockers–in the vein of broken cords, failed amps and burning tubes–play music at the point where anti-humanist and over-humanist intersect.
The 16th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival Presented By Harmons will be held Fri., Aug. 9, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.; Sat., Aug. 10, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.; and Sun., Aug. 11, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Attracting an average of 20,000 attendees per year across its three-day run, the DIY Fest is an event created by locals, for locals, celebrating all things local. An accumulative 500+ local creatives will join Craft Lake City this year, including artisans, vintage vendors, performers, food trucks, youth entrepreneurs, STEM organizations and more.
