Craft Lake City is thrilled to unveil the full lineup of presenting artisans and hands-on workshops for the Fifth Annual Craft Lake City LetterWest, happening April 10-11, 2026, in the Midvale Main Arts & Culture District in Midvale, Utah.
LetterWest is the nation’s premier hand lettering conference, bringing together professional artists and enthusiasts for two days of creativity, learning and community. Attendees will connect with top lettering professionals from around the world through workshops, panels, keynote presentations, interactive experiences and special events. This year’s conference will feature a diverse lineup of lettering icons from across the nation, including Jessica Hische, Noel Weber, Huyen Dinh, Jessica Nucifora, Austin Namba and Letter Queen.
Paper & Ink Arts returns to the conference as the official workshop supply partner, offering professional-grade tools and supplies to ensure participants have a truly immersive experience. Jessica Hische (Oakland, California)
Keynote Speaker, Workshop Instructor & Panelist
Jessica Hische(she/they) is a lettering artist, New York Times Best-selling author and co-founder of Studioworks. Her typographical work has been featured in films, books, and other commercial clients, like Target and Hallmark. A digital artist during the day, a hand-lettering enthusiast at night, their linocut lettering blends their love for lettering and art in the analog world.
Linocut Lettering Workshop
In this 4-hour, hands-on workshop, Jessica Hische will guide participants through essential linocut techniques and teach them to make small edition prints to share with fellow attendees.
Noel B. Weber (Boise, Idaho)
Keynote Speaker, Workshop Instructor & Panelist
Noel B. Weber(he/him) is an influential figure in the lettering world. His reverse-glass gold leaf gilding is so legendary that it is a mainstay in the American Sign Museum’s collection. Weber is a co-founder of the Letterheads group and the author of “A Sign Painter’s Sketchbook,” a guide that gives aspiring sign painters the tools and knowledge to succeed.
Sketch to Sign: 3D Lettering Workshop
(Additional $10 Fee)
Join Noel Weber’s 4-hour, hands-on painting workshop where students will learn how to turn sketches into finished, sellable art. Using pre-cast 3D resin panel monograms and pre-mixed acrylics (both provided with fee and designed by Noel), students will paint their own panels while practicing Weber’s approach to lettering across multiple mediums and leave with a lovely 3D monogram sign.
Huyen Dinh (Los Angeles, California)
Workshop Instructor & Panelist
Huyen Dinh(she/her) is Viet hand lettering artist, illustrator and author of “How to be a Rule-Breaking Letterer.” Her iconic pastel palette and adorable wiggly lettering have made her a cornerstone in the lettering world. She enjoys making the world a colorful place with her quirky messages and brands like Facebook, Canon, LG, Cotton Natural, and more.
Wobbly Lettering on Journals Workshop
In this 3-hour, hands-on class, Huyen will teach her signature wobbly lettering style, starting with warm-ups and basic foundations. Participants will sketch and paint directly in journals, exploring color and embracing happy accidents, leaving with a unique hand-painted journal and confidence to create fearlessly.
Austin Namba(he/him) is the founder of local sign painting business, LOOK AT THAT SIGN. An artist and skateboarder, Namba knows how important it is for the city he skates in to be as picturesque as possible, which is why he’s made it his mission to bring back beautiful and professional hand-painted signs to businesses and storefronts. Adding a bit of beauty into the everyday.
Intro to Sign Painting Workshop
Namba’s 4-hour, hands-on sign painting workshop will teach participants how to use traditional tools and mediums, create designs and transfer artwork to make polished, professional-quality signs. Participants will gain new skills, expert tips, and the knowledge to continue their thrilling sign painting journey.
Letter Queen (Salt Lake City, Utah)

Letter Queen (they/them) is a lettering and ornamental design artist with a love for the craftsmanship and history of the lettering world. Always ready to pick up a new skill, their specialties include: gold leaf glass work, hand engraving, ornamental signs and calligraphy classes. If anything, their work is truly regal.
History of Script through Print Workshop
Letter Queen’s workshop will explore the history of script lettering from 1720 –1920s through prints, ephemera and surprise activities. It’s a journey through the evolution of this vast artform.
Jessie Nucifora (Philadelphia, Pennnsylvania)
Workshop Instructor & Panelist
Jessie Nucifora (she/her) is a phenomenal tattoo artist with over 20 years of experience. Her love for lettering comes through in her intricate tattoo designs and other artwork. Drawing inspiration from old signage, vintage design, manuscripts and historic typography, Nucifora explores the balance between tradition and innovation.
Traditional Tattoo Lettering Workshop
Nucifora’s 2-hour, hands-on class will show participants how to draw pike lettering, traditional Old English, and create a clean, monoline script designed specifically for the classic walk-in style tattoo studio. It will cover how to effectively compose this lettering within banners and flash sheet borders, and explore “spitshading” to add depth and character.
Kyle Letendre (Portland, Oregon)
Emcee & Host
Kyle Letendre(they/them) has operated an independent studio focusing on commercial lettering, illustration and type design since 2016. Their work is as fierce and glamorous as their drag persona, Tomboy. Blurring the lines between lettering and visuals, and a love for exaggerated shapes, Letendre is always finding ways to stand out.
Ximena Jiménez (Bogota, Colombia)
Lettering Meetup & Mixup Host
Ximena Jiménez(she/they) is a lettering artist and muralist whose work is characterized by their vibrant colors and expressive lettering. Jimenez’s art starts out following the lettering fundamentals before deconstructing the rules and becoming a unique piece of art – a canvas that reflects their strength and creativity.
