SALT LAKE CITY – Craft Lake City is excited to announce the first 2013 installment in the Craft Lake Artist Workshop Series: Learn to Crochet with Rachelle Smith sponsored in part by Cricut, at the new location of Nobrow Coffee & Tea (179 W. 900 S.). Rachelle will teach participants how to create a convertible necklace/cowl and matching bracelet using two basic crochet techniques.
The workshop will take place on Thursday, Jan. 10 at the new home of Nobrow Coffee & Tea Company at 179 W. 900 S. with Rachelle, the brainchild behind Hook’d Crochet (etsy.com/shop/yayhookdcrochet). “Crochet is my way to bring what’s going on in my imagination out into the world,” she says. “I enjoy nothing more than to see something, imagine it in yarn form, and puzzle it out.” The materials fee is $10. In order to pre-register (required), sign up on Skillshare. This workshop is sponsored in part by Cricut.
Craft Lake City has created the Craft Lake Artist Workshop Series in an effort to not only support the handmade, DIY community, but also educate and encourage others to get involved. Now happening every month at different locations, participants are taught a simple craft by Alum Artists of the Craft Lake City festival.
