Holly hails from the hills of Appalachia and was fortunate enough to be the beneficiary of the talents of a mother trained in the textile arts. She spent many well-dressed days watching her mother spin, weave, sew and quilt, and although she only graduated to making pillowcases and pencil skirts, she appreciates the time and talent it takes to craft something lasting. Holly fled west for college and quickly fell for the mountains and the culture of Salt Lake City. She received her J.D. from the University of Utah in 2012 and is currently associate counsel at a boutique financial firm. Prior to law school, Holly worked as a massage therapist at the Kura Door, a day spa located in the Avenues with the clean lines and beautiful design of a Japanese onsen. She continues to be an appreciator and benefactor (and sometimes contributor) of the visual and creative arts and strives to support the arts by collecting both local artists’ and friends’ work. In her free time, she enjoys running the trails around Salt Lake City, skiing the hills and eating at each new restaurant that pops up.
