  • Artisan & Programs Coordinator
    Craft Lake City is looking for an Artisan & Programs Coordinator to join our office team. This position will support the Craft Lake City Artisan & Programs Manager and other key staff members with the daily operations of the organization. The applicant should have an interest in the local maker movement, familiarity with Craft Lake City’s programs and mission, and a desire to gain experience in nonprofit arts administration and event support.

    This is a part-time, contract position with a weekly time commitment of 20 hours, which begins immediately upon hiring. Weekly time commitments will increase in October and November leading up to the Craft Lake City Holiday Market on December 3-4. 2021. The Artisan & Programming Coordinator is required to be on-site for the duration of the Holiday Market, so working long hours is a factor you should consider and keep in mind when applying for this position.

    Responsibilities
    Year-Round
    -Support Craft Lake City management and staff with a variety of daily tasks, including data entry, correspondence, office and file organization, report drafting and event preparation.
    -Scan artisan paperwork and file into appropriate online folders.
    -Prepare post-event reports for venue partners, grants and sponsors.
    -Digitize survey responses from community events and workshops.
    -Assist with counting, organizing, and preparing supplies for CLC events.
    -Supporting the Craft Lake City team with DIY kits and supply boxes, including creation, inventory management and customer service.
    -Draft thank-you notes and other correspondence.
    -Serve as a public representative of Craft Lake City at select events, both virtual and in-person, assisting with setting up and breaking down as needed.
    -Assist with creating event-related graphics for social media use.
    -Support Craft Lake City team with artisan outreach as directed, including conducting research, attending events and contacting potential participants for programs and events.
    DIY Festival and Holiday Market
    -Support Artisan & Program Manager with artisan outreach and application follow-up.
    -Provide assistance for related training and programs, including support for RSVPs, nametags, meeting materials, checklists, inventory, etc.
    -Update exhibitor profiles on the website with cancellations and replacements.
    -Attend the Holiday Market as a Craft Lake City team member, assisting as needed with set up, on-site coordination, and breakdown.

    Qualifications:

  • Ticketing & Gate Manager
    Craft Lake City is looking for a Ticketing Manager for our Ticketing and Finance Team. The Ticketing Manager will be responsible for team preparations & standards, managing the training of the cashier team, configure and test POS systems, and work on-site for the duration of the festival to ensure the department runs smoothly and successfully.

    This is a year-round, part-time, contract position with a weekly time commitment of 15-20 hours per week for Holiday Market preparation, with hours increasing as the event draws closer. Weekly time commitments will increase in the lead up to the Annual Craft Lake City Holiday Market in Ogden, Utah on Friday December 3 and Saturday, December 4, 2021, as well as the 14th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival in summer of 2022.

    The Ticket and Finance Manager is required to be on-site for the duration of the Holiday Market, so working long hours are factors you should consider and keep in mind when applying for this position. 10-20 post-festival and Holiday Market hours per week will also be required for inventory reconciliation & other wrap up tasks.


    Responsibilities:
    -Build and maintain ticketing operations and reporting for all events for Craft Lake City.
    -Communicate regularly with CLC staff, ticketing staff, vendors, and other affiliated parties
    -Assist with event programming, ticket holds, ticket accounts and other ticket details
    -Manage patron facing customer service needs as it relates to ticketing
    -Communicate regularly and assist internal departments and external event personnel with any ticketing needs and concerns
    -Attend all relevant meetings, functions and discussions
    -Act as manager and liaison at events including but limited to Sales, Guest List, Operations, Cash Management, Reporting and Customer Service
    -Assist with monitoring of ticket sales and maintenance of ticketing system
    -Track and reconcile ticket stock inventory
    -Maintain accurate accounting records and archives, compliance
    -Receive and maintain ticket fulfillment and process invoices to completion
    -Monitor supplies and equipment, as well as, report and follow up on any ticketing repair issues
    -All duties as assigned by management
    -Work with CLC management and ticketing vendor to set-up events, place holds, process orders and release tickets in a timely fashion

    Qualifications:
    -2-3 years experience as a box office manager or representative, including management level work experience --Ability to lead a team under pressure; has strong stress management abilities -HONESTY—especially when it comes to handling cash and card transactions and/or any personal information --Professionally interact with Festival patrons and visitors -Excellent at listening, taking direction -Ability to adapt and be flexible when necessary to help other team members --Ability to think quickly and resolve problems that may arise with an outdoor event -Must be punctual -Impeccable customer service skills -Excellent communication abilities -Knows how to spell “team player” without an “I” or “me” -Previous experience with Square POS (Point of Sale) platform/software is a bonus -Previous experience with Google Drive, Docs, & Sheets desired -Previous experience with large events desired

    Requirements:
    -Must have flexibility/willingness to work in-house at the Craft Lake City office 5-15 hours per week, with start date in April/May
    -Must be able to commit to working the Third Annual Craft Lake City Holiday Market in Ogden, Utah on Friday December 3 and Saturday, December 4, 2021.
    -Must have flexibility/willingness to complete 10-20 post festival and holiday market hours
    -Must have own cell phone and laptop computer, with willingness to use for Craft Lake City tasks

  • Web Developer
    Craft Lake City is looking for a web developer who is passionate about the DIY culture and is looking to build a killer portfolio. We are looking for a talented web developer to create secure and functional code. You may have to provide quality coding solutions both for simple applications and complex information or operating systems.
    The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and the Craft Lake City brand. The goal is to design and build a superior and innovative online experience by writing clean and flawless code.
    Responsibilities
    -Collaborate with Craft Lake City Team to produce a unique online experience.
    -Monitor user’s online experience to fix bugs
    -Formulate program specifications and basic prototypes -Transform designs and specifications into high functioning code in the appropriate language -Test code periodically to ensure it produces the desirable results and perform debugging when necessary -Collaborate with technical writers to create documentation for user support

    Requirements
    -Passion for problem solving
    -Proven experience as a programmer or relevant role -Ability to program in languages such as C++, Java (J2EE), XML etc. -Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework -Excellent knowledge with relational databases, SQL and ORM technologies -Experience with installing Wordpress templates, wordpress plugins, etc. -Detail-oriented and excellent concentration ability -An analytical mindset and critical thinking -Demonstrable ability to discover and fix errors in code -Coursework in computer science, web development or relevant discipline - UX design experience
