  • The Sin Eater’s Lament

As a textile artist, over the years I flirted with the idea of making dolls, but it was transient and brief. However, in 2022, as the pandemic wore on, I sought ways to deepen my artistic practice. I turned to doll making and found it comforting: the repetition of sewing, felting, and draping was meditative. In it, I found peace during a time of personal and global loss. Further, the process was thought provoking; I encountered silence, the unknown, and memories. I began to see dolls as a way to honor traditions and to celebrate change. These dolls have helped me to walk with grief, and find solace along the way.

  • SmellsGood Candle Co.

My mission is to create great smelling candles, free from all the bad stuff! I started making candles a few years ago, mainly because I found out that most mass produced candle companies are adding these harsh chemicals to their candles. I loved candles, had multiple burning at a time all day everyday – but I couldn’t have toxins overtaking my apartment! So I started making pure soy wax candles, using only ‘clean’ scents and ingredients free from all the toxins. I would give my candles away as gifts and people really seemed to love the scents I put together. As the years went by, friends and family continuously urged me to start selling my candles. So here we are! I’ve started SmellsGood candle company to hopefully spread some good clean smells to all.

  • Laurel & Twine

Hello! My name is Ariel, I’m the creator and owner of Laurel & Twine. Over the years I developed a green thumb and became obsessed with plants. Unfortunately for me, I have an unrelenting plant eating cat named Purdy. So in my effort to keep them away from her I had to get crafty by making plant hangers for my own home. After filling my house, I decided to start selling them and have officially been in business about three years now. I say my design aesthetic is minimal with a dash of boho rustic modern, using 3 main mediums- wood, gold hoops, and macrame cord. Everything is handmade in Salt Lake City and Purdy approved. 😉

  • Flora Boneyard

As an artist who creates whimsical and morbid terrariums using carefully pinned real butterflies and cleaned animal skulls, I am inspired by the beauty and fragility of nature, both in life and in death. My art is a celebration of the natural world, showcasing the intricate details of each creature that I carefully preserve. By incorporating real butterflies and animal skulls into my work, I aim to highlight the inherent beauty and transience of life, and to spark conversations about our relationship with the environment. Ultimately, my terrariums serve as both a tribute to the cycles of nature and a playful exploration of the macabre.
