Jennifer Seeley is a painter exploring ideas of expression and color through animal portraiture. She is a local Utahan who recently graduated from Utah State University with a BFA, duel emphasis in Drawing and Painting and Art Education. Jennifer has a deep appreciation for living things and her work is a celebration of this. She uses quick loose brushstrokes with bright arbitrary color schemes to create a lively feel to her work. Each painting has a unique expression and takes on a personality of its own, often with an unusual comical twist. A large part of her process is spending time around the animals, observing and taking reference photos. You may recognize some of her animals from our own Utah’s Hoogle Zoo. Jennifer’s work can be found on utility boxes around the Salt Lake Valley or in local shops and galleries.
