Nana would make her famous caramel corn on special occasions growing up. Although she was blinded by macular degeneration, she was a phenomenal cook. She perfected her caramel corn recipe and it became a favorite of everyone who tried it. She was able to get just the right chewy consistency without it being sticky. She taught me the recipe as a girl, and I have been making it ever since. I have added some specialty flavors, but the base is still her original recipe.
