Sponsored Families
Sponsored Families Program
As part of our DIY Festival Inclusion Program, Craft Lake City has created the Sponsored Families Program to ensure Utah families from all walks of life are able to attend the DIY Festival. The Sponsored Families Program provides families with access to the Festival at no cost, as well as vouchers for merchandise, food and craft activities, for a full Festival experience.
The show must go on for the 12th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival presented by Harmons. Rather than fully canceling due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Craft Lake City is taking this year’s festival virtual August 7-9, 2020. Originally, the three-day event was scheduled to be held in-person. Now, the Craft Lake City team will identify ways to incorporate local artisans, engineers, vintage vendors, craft food creators, musicians, dancers, youth makers, sponsors, as well as workshops onto a digital platform.
With this in mind Craft Lake City is working on identifying ways to engage with our sponsored families and will be posting updates by the end of May. We want to thank you for your patience and continued support.

How do Sponsored Families Participate?
Craft Lake City works with community nonprofit partners to identify families who may be interested in and benefit from the Sponsored Families program. Once families are identified:
- Craft Lake City, with the partner organization, invites the families to attend the Festival and provides them with logistics regarding check in at the Festival.
- The Craft Lake City will provide entry tickets and vouchers to the family.
- The Craft Lake City will also provide a mini tour of the Festival to help orient the family.
- Families are then free to enjoy the Festival at their own pace for the day.
