Salt Lake City, Aug. 15 – Craft Lake City wishes to thank the many participants and supporters who made the 8th Annual DIY Festival a success. For the first time this year, the festival extended over three days, Friday, Aug. 12, Saturday, Aug. 13, and Sunday, Aug. 14.
The DIY Festival featured more than 300 artisans, craft foodies, DIY engineers and performers, plus more than a dozen festival food options, a Kids’ Area with DIY crafts and activities, the Google Fiber STEM Building featuring interactive technology and science exhibits, and the VIP Patio featuring craft food and drinks.
This year’s stages were sponsored by 90.9FM KRCL and SLUG Magazine. The VIP Patio was generously sponsored by Patron Spirits, Espolon Tequila, Deep Eddy Vodka, Maker’s Mark, Trail’s End Bourbon, Chopin Vodka, SnugZ USA and Uinta Brewing Company. VIP food was provided by Even Stevens, Salt and Smoke, Harmons, Dinner at Yours, Good Grammar, Buds Sandwich Co., Pop Art and Lick’d Pops.

About Craft Lake City: We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Our mission is to educate, promote and inspire local artisans while elevating the creative culture of the Utah arts community through science, technology and art. In an effort to keep the community active, educated and aware of local DIY culture, Craft Lake City hosts monthly workshops, gallery shows, fundraisers and an annual festival to promote regional spending with independent artisans and businesses. The 2016 DIY Festival will be held at the Gallivan Center, 239 S. Main Street, on Friday, Aug. 12, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 13, from noon to 10 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 14, from noon to 7 p.m.
