Craft Lake City Seeks Volunteers for their 17th Annual DIY Fest Presented By Harmons

Craft Lake City is looking for volunteers for the 17th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival Presented By Harmons, happening August 8, 9 and 10, 2025 at the Utah State Fairpark.

As Utah’s largest local-centric arts festival, the DIY Fest is a three-day celebration of innovation and creativity, showcasing hundreds of artisans, performers, engineers, foodies, vintage vendors, youth entrepreneurs and STEM exhibitors. Volunteers are essential to making this immersive event possible, and Craft Lake City invites community members to join the team that helps bring it all to life

Volunteer opportunities are available before, during and after the Festival, with a wide range of roles suited to different interests, abilities and schedules. Positions include:

  • Artisan Load-In & Festival Set-Up
  • Teardown & Load-Out Crew
  • STEM Building Support and Rocket Launch Volunteers 
  • Kids’ Area Management
  • Dog Park VolunteerZone Manager Assistant
  • Gate Line Guide
  • Traffic Control

Volunteers are the heartbeat of DIY Fest,” says Tiana O. Young, Artisans and Programs Manager of Craft Lake City. “We are incredibly grateful to the hundreds of dedicated individuals who help us create a memorable experience for the community each year.”

Volunteers receive a limited-edition DIY Fest T-shirt, free festival admission on the day of their shift, snacks, drinks and bonus tickets for multiple shifts. Along with perks, volunteers gain valuable hands-on experience, build connections with like-minded creatives and help bring one of Utah’s largest arts festivals to life.
