Salt Lake City, UT – Oct. 18, 2021 Craft Lake City will be partnering with Valley Fair on two new craft workshops this fall: Knitted Pumpkins with Kristin Baird of Hey Kitty Rae and Delicate Arch Painting with lizzie wenger of ZIELIZG. Both workshops will be held indoors at Valley Fair (3601 S 2700 W, West Valley City, UT 84119).
Knitted Pumpkins with Kristin Baird of Hey Kitty Rae will be held Thurs., Oct. 21, 2021 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Participants will learn the basics of knitting as they craft their own adorable plush pumpkins just in time for Halloween. Kristin will cover the differences between yarns and tools used for this craft, the two elemental stitches of knitting, casting on/off, and seaming. All supplies will be provided and fiber-arts beginners are welcome. The cost $39 and attendees will each receive a $10 Waffle Love gift card courtesy of Valley Fair.
Delicate Arch Painting with lizzie wenger of ZIELIZG is on Wed., Nov. 10 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. In this workshop, Salt Lake City artist lizzie wenger will guide students through painting a mini landscape of the iconic Delicate Arch. Participants will gain and develop skills relative to acrylic painting, color theory, and others which will build upon foundational artistic abilities. All supplies are provided and beginners are welcome. The cost is $39 and attendees will each receive a free $10 gift card to Megaplex Theaters courtesy of Valley Fair.
Craft Lake City first partnered with Valley Fair for a series of workshops earlier this summer. The series was so successful that the two organizations are collaborating on another twelve workshops scheduled now through May of 2022. Classes will take place indoors in a centrally-positioned shopfront within Valley Fair, nestled among their wide array of shops and restaurants.
