24-HOUR FUNDRAISER LOVE UTAH GIVE UTAH, OFFERS LOCALS AN OPPORTUNITY TO SUPPORT THEIR FAVE NONPROFITS SUCH AS CRAFT LAKE CITY
Salt Lake City – This Thursday, March 26, 2015, Craft Lake City will join over 500 additional nonprofit organizations to share in a group fundraising campaign. called Love Utah Give Utah and—a 24-hour statewide effort to raise funds for Utah’s diverse nonprofit community.
“We’re honored to participate in this civic fundraising initiative for the third consecutive year,” says Angela H. Brown, Executive Director of Craft Lake City. “Love Utah Give Utah is a great way for Utahns to show their support for nonprofits. Charitable organizations increase the quality of our community.”
Craft Lake City is most know for producing their annual Do-It-Yourself Festival that occurs the second weekend in August each year. 2015 will mark the seventh year of the DIY Festival.
Part of the organization’s vision is to re-define the term “craft” by broadening the definition to encompass all things handmade—including craft food, crafting with technology (think robotics, coding, modular synthesizers, 3D printing) and art.
Craft Lake City’s Advisory Board has generously raised $2,000 in challenge grants for this event. The Board encourages the community to help the organization raise $2,000 in order to receive the challenge grant. All donations, large or small, are accepted.
