Craft Lake City Announces the December 2013 Craft Lake Artist Workshop Presented by West Elm Salt Lake City: Christmas Packaging with Shantel Nielson

SALT LAKE CITY, Dec. 10, 2013 – Craft Lake City is excited to announce the wrap of their 2013 Craft Lake Artist Workshop Series at West Elm Salt Lake City with a Christmas Packaging workshop taught by Shantel Nielson of The Pink Raffy on Thursday, Dec. 12 from 7 to 9 p.m. West Elm, a home furnishings retailer, who helps and engages customers to shape their personal style in their homes, will host the fourth class of the West Elm and Craft Lake City DIY Workshop Series. The West Elm and Craft Lake City workshop partnership will continue into 2014. Their mutual goal is to compel participants of all skillsets to indulge in their creative sides to produce art and stylized home accoutrement.

Nielson started The Pink Raffy in 2012, making party hats and accessories for her children, adding fun bows to her shop shortly after. 2013 marked her first year as a Craft Lake City DIY Festival participant. She will be teaching workshop participants how to create beautiful bows made out of fabric, ribbon and felt to decorate their holiday gifts with. The fabric bow will give each gift a personal DIY touch, and can be reused and passed on over and over again. She will also be showing participants new ways to wrap their gifts.

Registration for the workshop is currently open. There is a $10 materials fee for this workshop and pre-registration is required, which can be done at this link: http://skl.sh/1fBNkpU. West Elm Salt Lake City is located in City Creek Center at 51 S. Main Street.
