Craft Lake City Announces the First Workshop of 2013 of the Craft Lake Artist Workshop Series

Craft Lake City announces the first 2013 workshop of the Craft Lake Artist Workshop Series: Learn to Crochet with Rachelle Smith Sponsored in Part by Cricut, at Fleur de Lis (623 South State Street) on Jan. 10.

??SALT LAKE CITY – Craft Lake City is excited to announce the first 2013 installment in the Craft Lake Artist Workshop Series: Learn to Crochet with Rachelle Smith sponsored in part by Cricut, at Fleur de Lis (623 South State Street). Rachelle will teach participants how to create a convertible necklace/cowl and matching bracelet using two basic crochet techniques.    

The workshop will take place on Thursday, Jan. 10 at Fleur de Lis . with Rachelle, the brainchild behind Hook’d Crochet (etsy.com/shop/yayhookdcrochet). “Crochet is my way to bring what’s going on in my imagination out into the world,” she says. “I enjoy nothing more than to see something, imagine it in yarn form, and puzzle it out.” The materials fee is $10. Craft Lake City has created the Craft Lake Artist Workshop Series in an effort to not only support the handmade, DIY community, but also educate and encourage others to get involved. Now happening every month at different locations, participants are taught a simple craft by Alum Artists of the Craft Lake City festival.     ?
