Salt Lake City, UT – Craft Lake City is excited to announce a new Botanical Watercolor Workshop taught by local artist and art educator Kara Aina on Wed., July 21 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Valley Fair.
At this in-person DIY workshop, participants will create a beautiful fresh lemon and botanical motif to add some zest to their home decor. Kara Aina will break down her unique process of painting with watercolor, a hybrid of traditional and non-traditional techniques. She will guide participants as they create inviting summertime compositions and gain confidence working with this dynamic, versatile medium. This event will be held in the newly-remodeled Town Center at Valley Fair, a vibrant shopping, dining, and entertainment venue in the heart of West Valley City, located at 3601 S 2700 W, West Valley City UT 84119.
Pre-registration and a workshop fee of $39 are required to participate. No experience is necessary and all materials are provided. Limited spots are available. Workshop tickets can be purchased online at craftlakecity.com/workshops.
Kara Jane Aina (pronounced Eye-Na) was born and raised in New Brunswick, Canada. Kara works primarily in watercolor and oil paint, ink and occasionally incorporates vintage ephemera and collage. Her work is inspired by connections and interactions she has with family, friends and nature. She paints abstracts, botanicals, landscapes and surface design fabric for apparel companies.
