July 31, 2024, Salt Lake City, UT– Craft Lake City is proud to continue its partnership with local print company Offside Print & Apparel for live screen-printing demonstrations at the 16th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival Presented By Harmons. In keeping with Craft Lake City’s sustainability initiative for the Annual Craft Lake City DIY Fest, Offside Print & Apparel will offer free hand-printed reusable tote bags for festivalgoers to use while they shop. Over 500 participants will be exhibiting at the DIY Festival over the course of the three days in the following categories: artisans, craft food, commercial food, Kid Row, exhibiting sponsors, STEM and nonprofit partners.
These free tote bags will feature artwork from 5 local artisans who are participating in the DIY Fest. Each of the contributing tote bag artists will offer a custom design inspired by Craft Lake City’s 16 years of elevating Utah’s creative culture. Festival goers are always delighted to watch the live screen printing process as Offside showcases their DIY magic. Each participating artist’s design will be printed during designated three hour increments throughout peak hours of the DIY Fest (while supplies last). Offside will have special signage at the printing booth during each artist’s feature hours to direct patrons to those exhibitors’ booths, and we encourage you to go meet the artists and designers!
“Live printing at the festival offers a unique glimpse into the dedication and artistry behind DIY businesses,” says Nate Bowen, co-founder of Offside Print & Apparel. “The DIY Fest consistently provides a unique opportunity to connect with the community through our craft.”
