Craft Lake City is celebrating five years of the Annual Craft Lake City Holiday Market by expanding the lineup to include performers for the first time ever. The Fifth Annual Craft Lake City Holiday Market Presented By Google Fiber will feature musicians from Ogden and the wider Utah community at the festive event on both December 1 & 2. This is a natural expansion for the Holiday Market as it continues a fifteen year tradition of highlighting some of Utah’s best performing arts groups at the Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival held every August.
“When it came to expanding the Holiday Market for its fifth year, it was a clear decision to bring in performers,” says Entertainment Coordinator MyKel Hall. “We love working with our local performers and want to support them however we can, so we’re really excited about having Zaza, Emma, Carly and Buck be the very first of hopefully many more to come.”
The Holiday Market performer lineup will feature three musical acts with something for everyone, from spoons player Carly Kerby and her accompanying husband Buck to violinist Emma Lamb to Ogden-based musician Zaza Historia VanDyke, who will be who will be familiar to those who have attended the DIY Festival in recent years. Unlike DIY Fest, which solely features original pieces from Utah performers, Holiday Market performers will bring their musical takes on holiday classics and coined originals about the season.
In addition to our musical performers, Kev the Balloon Man–a balloon animal artist–will be busking all day on Saturday. Santa Claus will also be joining us for free photo opportunities on both Friday and Saturday.
