Seeking Volunteers for the
13th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival 

Friday, June 4, Salt Lake City, UT – Craft Lake City® is seeking volunteers to assist with the 13th Annual Craft Lake City® DIY Festival® Presented By Harmons. The DIY Festival is Utah’s largest local-centric, three-day arts festival featuring hundreds of  local artisans, STEM exhibitors, craft food creators, vintage vendors, the Google Fiber STEM Building, music and dance performances, a kids’ area, local food trucks and approximately 20,000 attendees. The DIY Festival will be held this year in Salt Lake City on Friday, August 13, 5pm – 10pm, Saturday, August 14, 10am – 8pm & Sunday, August 15, 10am – 6pm at The Utah State Fairpark.!

Each year the Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival is made possible by a team of volunteers, and Craft Lake City is currently accepting applications for new volunteers on their website at craftlakecity.com/volunteer. All interested community members are encouraged to apply!Craft Lake City is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to educate, promote and inspire local artisans while elevating the creative culture of the Utah arts community through science, technology and art. The DIY Festival is Craft Lake City’s largest event of the year and is a celebration of Utah’s creative community as participants are from around the state.

Each year  volunteers  go above and beyond to make the Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival a great success. Volunteers connect with local artisans, craft foodies, DIY engineers, performers and more. Volunteers help to support local, independent artisans, promote regional spending and encourage the public to shop locally.

Volunteers are needed to assist in all areas of the Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival from artisan load in and load out, the kids’ craft area, beverage trailers, the VIP Lounge, Green Team, the Google Fiber STEM Building and more. Craft Lake City has a variety of positions available to fit everyone’s interests, personality and skills.

“Whether you want to make connections, hangout with your friends or family, or just want to be out in the sun after a year of being indoors, volunteering at the Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival is a great option,” says Salvador Oregon-Torres, Craft Lake City Volunteer Coordinator. “We also have some great incentives if you volunteer that include free entry to the DIY Festival, festival swag and so much more.
