The 4th Annual Craft Lake City Announces 2012 Festival Sponsors
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, August 6, 2012– The 4th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Arts Festival, presented by SLUG Magazine and free to the public, is pleased to announce its partnership with its Gold and Silver sponsors who will be supporting the festival Saturday, Aug. 11, at the Gallivan Center. The DIY festival would not be possible without the financial and in-kind support of the corporate and individual sponsors listed below.

Craft Lake City is proud to announce that XMission is sponsoring the festival’s 2012 Science and Technology Building at the Gallivan Center, which will house the festival’s DIY Engineers exhibits. XMission is proud to support and present this new Craft Lake City artist category, available for the first time in 2012, to the public.
Craft Lake City 2012 will feature over 200 local artisans and DIY Engineers, along with numerous local food vendors and live entertainment by local performers and musicians.

About Craft Lake City: The Craft Lake City Festival is an annual outdoor celebration of Utah’s DIY handmade culture. Held yearly in August at the Gallivan Center in Salt Lake City, the festival features over 200 local artisans and DIY Engineers, along with live entertainment that includes demonstrations, street performers, musical acts, and local food vendors. Throughout the year, Craft Lake City organizes various events to keep the community active and aware of local DIY culture and continues its support of local artisans through workshops, demonstrations, gallery shows and fundraisers. Craft Lake City was started in 2009 by Angela H. Brown, editor and publisher of SLUG Magazine, as a way to showcase the DIY community across the state.
