Craft Lake City is excited to announce that another successful DIY Festival is in the books! The 6th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival Presented by Harmons took place on August 8 & 9, 2014 at the Gallivan Center.
A free event to the public, the DIY Festival feature 240 exhibitors showcasing their wares which included silk-screened posters and cards, reconstructed clothing, jewelry, handcrafted books, up-cycled vintage goods, craft food and drink, 3D printers, speaker systems, robotics, video games and more.
The DIY Festival highlighted fifty local performers across two stages and a busking lounge. This year’s music was supported in part by Beacon Audio, 90.9FM KRCL, Graywhale Entertainment and SLUG Magazine. Performers included bands, solo and acoustic performances, aerial artists, modern dance and ballet.
Craft Lake City opened their first VIP Patio to the public this year as well, which featured local spreads and local craft brews. The VIP Patio is a fundraiser to help keep the DIY Festival a free event. Keep an eye out for the VIP Patio in the future!
