Craft Lake City Grant Manager

Survey Manager is a festival position which includes working pre and post festival and both festival days.

Pre Festival work includes preparing all survey materials for distribution. This is an approximate 3-4  hour commitment for two weeks prior to the Festival.

Festival work includes managing Craft Lake City surveys and overseeing volunteers staffing the area. This includes approximately 4-6 volunteers per 4 hour shift for both festival days at various locations on the festival grounds. The Survey Manager will communicate volunteer needs to Volunteer Coordinators. Survey Manager will be responsible for inventory of items required for admittance of surveys  to ensure quantity is sufficient for both festival days. Survey Manager will be sure that all valuables are secure at the end of each festival day. Survey Manager will act as first point of contact to surveyors and attendees regarding any questions or concerns regarding survey questions. Survey Manager will become familiar with other Zone Managers that are working for the festival and have knowledge of all activities occurring on festival grounds. Escalate any issues to Operations Director. Survey Manager must be familiar with any positions reporting to them. These positions include: Surveyors

Post Festival work includes reconciliation and tabulation of all collected surveys for review.

Qualifications: Customer Service, Ability to lift 25 lbs, Knowledge of basic tools, Problem Solving, Ability to stand or walk for long periods, Management Skills, Friendly and approachable, Multi-tasking, Self Management. Training will be provided.

Assigned tasks include:

Manage Survey Volunteers
Walk through surveyor areas to manage volunteers.
Keep inventory of surveyor supplies.
Customer Service for patrons of festival.
Escalate Concerns to Logistics Manager/Operations Director.
Check in hourly with a verbal process of Surveyor activity.


Craft Lake City Social Media Coordinator

Social Media Coordinator is a part time organization position. Schedule is flexible, however, some office work is required. This position requires year around social media work and requires you to be on site for Craft Lake City’s yearly DIY festival both festival days and pre-festival set up to manage all social media marketing needs.

Qualifications: Knowledge of Social Media Platforms; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr and Vine is required. Creative and innovative in order to create and adapt content for the specific networks, including positioning content in under required characters for each platform. Interpret Social Media data in a way to iterate and improve marketing efforts. Writing / Editing Skills. Application knowledge for on the spot content editing via SmartPhone. Basic knowledge of sales in order to properly encourage followers into becoming attendees of our festival, community outreach events and workshops. Ability to Interact with individuals and stimulate discussion in order to grow Craft Lake City’s following across all platforms.

Craft Lake City Do-It-Yourself Festival Survey Coordinator

Craft Lake City Do-It-Yourself Festival Merchandise Booth Coordinator

Craft Lake City Do-It-Yourself Festival Merchandise Coordinator is a festival staff contract position which includes working both festival days and pre-festival set up (August 5th-8th). Merchandise Coordinator will be over the Craft Lake City DIY Merchandise Booth managing sales, inventory and volunteers assigned to the area.

Merchandise Manager will need to feel comfortable accepting credit card payments on the CLC iPad using Square and working with cash payments. Training will be provided.

Assigned tasks include:

Setting up Craft Lake City Merchandise Booth in a way that is aesthetically pleasing for sales
Responsible to work with Festival Finance Coordinator to report needed cash pick ups and complete reconciliation of daily sales.
Take complete inventory count after each volunteer shift and report sales to Operations Director. Report low inventory counts to inventory manager.
Be responsible that sales and inventory counts match.
Completed final inventory count and reconciliation at completion of festival.
Oversee strike of merchandise booth.


Craft Lake City Do-It-Yourself Festival Assistant Volunteer Coordinator

Assistant Volunteer Manager is a full festival position. Time commitment includes 1-3 hours a week starting mid-July with an increasing time commitment approaching festival deadlines. Assistant Volunteer Manager includes working both festival days and pre-festival set up. The Assistant Volunteer Manager will provide direct assistance to the Volunteer Manager for the full duration of the festival. The Assistant Volunteer Manager will assist with volunteer check in/check out. The Assistant Volunteer Manager will assist in managing Craft Lake City staff and manage the breaks of full shift volunteers. Assistant Volunteer Manager will become familiar with all festival staff and volunteer positions that are working the festival and have knowledge of all activities occurring on festival grounds. Assistant Volunteer Manager will coordinate as needed with Zone/Area Managers, Logistics Manager and Executive Director about volunteer needs.  Escalate any issues to Volunteer Manager. Assistant Volunteer Manager must be familiar with any positions reporting to them. These positions include: All Shift Volunteers

Qualifications: Customer Service, Ability to lift 25 lbs, Organizations Skills, Stress Management, Problem Solving, Crowd Management, Friendly and approachable, Ability to stand or walk for long periods, Sufficient in Excel and Google Docs. Training will be provided.

Assigned tasks include:

Assist in Managing Craft Lake City Volunteers.
Start training of Volunteer Check-in procedures in July
Attend and Assist with Volunteer Trainings in July and August.
Assist Volunteer Manager in Clerical needs
Customer Service for Patrons and Volunteers
Escalate Concerns to Volunteer Manager
Assist in Hourly Check-ins of all Zones/Areas.
